Right from the stone-age, barring the basic needs of food clothing and shelter, humans have exhibited the inherent artistic creativity time and again. Don’t believe, it all started with those hand-made tools, then using them to scratch off their cave walls. Scratch, carve and paint the cave expressing whatever they experienced and felt in their lives.
Worth noting, this could be one of the first moments humans used art to express themselves.
When our civilization moved out of caves and started building houses of wood and clay. The art and tradition of decorating our habitat didn’t leave us. Apparently, with cultural influence, houses were more often decorated, thanks to festivals. Oh, festivals are truly a genius invention of mankind, what better way to appreciate and be grateful towards various facets of life. And generations after generations, it’s interesting to see that our species has this unbreakable connection with art.
If you connect the dots, from caves to skyscrapers, we have always relied upon art in our daily lives. Regardless of someone’s income, race or gender, everyone loves to decorate and __their homes.
For some it’s a source of inspiration, or to have peace of mind or (just to feel alive).
As the popular saying goes,
“A House is made of bricks and beams; A Home is made of Love and Dreams”
As you’d have realized by now, creativity is that essence of human race we need to preserve and pass on to our future generations.
