I have considerably thought about how to put my words right for this one. Still, I will try my best.
The basic general questions I have is what is the basic understanding or meaning of Art? How does it help? Who all can achieve it? Can you learn it? and much more…
Henry James in his short story The Middle Years:
We work in the dark—we do what we can—we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art.
Art for me is to observe and look at a scenario with a whole new view in my mind. A different perspective. A different idea. A sense of passion to create something unknown, something not heard before with music notes already available. An urge to create as a piece of work and a masterpiece in the process.
We in today’s world are very less intuitive driven and more of logic driven. Artists work with the intuition they have. begin with what they have, do what they can and reach the outcome with what they can.
Everyone is an artist, someone can play with words, colours, strings of paper, bubbles, etc. Everyone has one thing in common and that is the passion/urge to create something different out of intuition.
We can learn to be better at pottery (just an example) by learning it from a potter, but creating a masterpiece out of mud requires mastery through perseverance and practice.
This was all from me.
Signing off for today. Do reach out to me via comments on what is ART to you and how do you perceive it.
Thank you. 🙂
